Rod Kivell

staffRod is Maintenance Manager and Grounds Inspector for all of our associations. His past experience in all facets of maintenance and ambitious attitude makes him the perfect person for the job. Rod is very detail orientated and enjoys the challenge of finding the right solution for each maintenance task.

 

Rod's experience began during high school working in the Heating and Air Conditioning business as an assistant installing HVAC systems. After High School, Rod joined the US Navy and became an Aviation Electricians Mate servicing F-4 and F-14 fighter aircraft. While in the US Navy stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he took on a part-time job as the maintenance manager for two apartment complexes.

 

Upon leaving the military, Rod and his family moved back to Grand Rapids, MI, where he joined Lear Siegler, Inc. building flight instruments and guidance systems for commercial and military aircraft. During those first years, he held numerous positions in supervision and management, finally settling into the quality assurance area. Over the past 30 years, Rod has worked for numerous Aerospace companies including Advance Circuits, Allied Signal, and Honeywell.

 

In 2002 after the closing of the Honeywell Electronic Materials facilities in Minneapolis, Rod and his family returned to the Grand Traverse area and where he joined a local aerospace company as a Quality Engineer. Currently Rod is president of the condominium association in the East Bay subdivision where he and his family built their new home.

 

This experience and Rod's ambitious attitude and excellent customer service skills makes him the perfect person to be our Maintenance Manager and Grounds Inspector for all of our associations. He oversees any maintenance concerns or association violations.
